IRCS Jiribam observes World Red Cross Day

Jiribam, May 08 2024: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Jiribam district branch joined in observing World Red Cross Day in the district under the theme 'Keeping Humanity Alive' .

The observance of World Red Cross Day was graced by General Secretary IRCS Jiribam district branch L Jaminkanta Singh and treasurers Ng Biswajit Singh and N Biraj Singh as the presidium members.

The observance commenced with the lighting of candles by the dignitaries followed by paying of floral tributes to the photo of Henry Dunant, founder of Red Cross Society.

During the observance, the speakers recalled the remarkable contributions of Henry Dunant for the upliftment of human society.

The Red Cross society is a well known and leading humanitarian organization across the globe providing relief in times of emergencies thereby promoting a healthy well being for all.

The dedicated services of the Red Cross societies play a key role in instilling a sense of responsibility among the youths of today to deliver humanitarian service.

As a part of the programme, certificates were distributed to the new members of Indian Red Cross Society, Jiribam district branch.
