Imphal, February 08 2014 :
The proscribed RPF has claimed that a team of PLA's tactical command today attacked troops of 44 AR, C-Coy in between Grihang and Ningchou village of Kamjong sub-division, Ukhrul district at around 6 am today.
The attack inflicted heavy casualties on the AR troops.
Many of the AR troops killed or wounded in the attack were evacuated in helicopter, said a press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief Bangkim.
It accused Assam Rifles of committing human rights violation in the forms of arbitrary detention, torture, murder, engineering forced disappearance, massacres, rape and supplying drugs to the youth as a part of the Government of India's repressive policies.
It is an inescapable responsibility of the PLA to fight Assam Rifles for the all repressive measures they unleashed upon the people of Manipur.
Till today, PLA has been fighting Indian military forces within the territory of Manipur.
In another word, PLA is not invading India but fighting back invasion by the Indian military.
To fight back and defend one's country from external aggression is the universally accepted right of each and every nation, it asserted.
Reminding that PLA's 252 Mobile Battalion undertook another successful offensive against Indian military on January 26, the outfit conveyed that the PLA's war office and chief of army staff have congratulated the particular tactical command which carried out the attack this morning apart from conveying gratitude to all the people who helped in carrying out the attack.
