BJP to contest all Ukhrul ADC seats; slams parties

With the stage already set for the ensuing ADC election, BJP has decided to field candidates for all the 24 seats in Ukhrul district.
The party has exuded confidence of winning the polls.
Disclosing this to Hueiyen Lanpao, BJP State Spokesperson Soso Shaiza on Tuesday maintained that the party is receiving growing support from increasing number of members in Ukhrul through the ongoing mass enrollment drive.
She said the party is poised to "strike gold" with majority of seats in the district.
"The people have now come to realize the need for positive changes rather than reeling under the step-motherly treatment of the present Congress-led government in the State," she asserted.
BJP slams parties .
Coming down heavily on the Congress-led State Government over the demolition of three Churches at Naga River in Imphal, the BJP has also strongly questioned the deafening silence maintained by political parties in the state over the issue.
Speaking at the 35th Foundation Day of the BJP held Monday at Youth Hostel, Phungreitang as Special Guest, former Manipur Assembly Speaker and Finance Minister H Boro Babu strongly denounced the act of demolishing of three Churches at Naga River by the Congress-led government by taking a controversial Cabinet decision.
Boro Babu also debunked the accusation hurled against the BJP that it was an "anti-Christian" party.
BJP Ukhrul President Worthington also said, "So long as the Congress remains in power, the common man in the State will continue to face numerous problems of unemployment, corruption, violence etc" .
During the function was attended by a slew of BJP leaders, workers, well wishers and public leaders of Ukhrul.
