Man found semi conscious on highway

Kangpokpi, December 04 2015 :
An unidentified man was found in a semi-conscious state this morning along the Trans-Asian Highway near Changoubung under Kangpokpi police station.
He was found at the spot by some locals who informed Kangpokpi police and later brought him to CHC Kangpokpi for medical treatment.
Due to his critical condition he was referred to Imphal for further medical examination.
The location of the spot is approximately 5 km north from Kangpokpi town.
Police recovered one Swiss knife at the spot.
The unknown man bore a cut injury mark on his head and his face swollen with blood spattered all over the body.
He is suspected to have been beaten severely by unknown miscreants.
The man is around 5 feet 6 inches tall and is attired in a black coloured trouser, white shirt and dark blue vest.
On being inquired by the police at the hospital the man said he is from Dimapur and his name is Johasang in his blurred voice in Hindi.
He is also suspected to be a transporter servicing along the highway but he flatly denied this and also denied that he was beaten by anyone.
Later, Kangpokpi police brought him to Imphal for further medical treatment.
