First women artists' workshop ends

Imphal, December 30 2021: A five-day long first women artists' workshop organised by Arts Society, Manipur at Manipur Ensemble Complex, Langthabal Kunja concluded on Thursday.

The valedictory function was attended by Arts Society Manipur president and Imphal Arts College former principal Y Nabachandra and Manipuri Ensemble Theatre Complex director Kshetri Jugindro as presidium members.

Speaking at the function, Kshetri Jugindro noted that fine arts have become vital these days as young students are taking the subject up with great enthusiasm.

He lauded Arts Society Manipur for organising such workshop for women artists.

Around 20 students pursuing master and degree courses in different institutes attended the workshop.

Certificates were also distributed to the participating artists as encouragement.
