Dilip Nongmaithem listed for Bal Sahitya Purashkar 2023

Imphal, September 29 2023: Author Dilip Nongmaithem has been selected for the prestigious Bal Sahitya Purashkar 2023 in Manipuri language for his book titled 'Ibemma Amasung Ngabemma' (Stories).

The award was announced on Friday by the Sahitya Akademi.

Dilip Nongmaithem of Sagolband Moirang Leirak, Imphal West, had served as an assistant engineer in Public Health Engineering Department, Manipur.

He is also a senior lawn tennis player at national and international level having won various state, national and ITF Tournaments.

The award consisting of a casket containing an engraved copper-plaque and carrying an amount of Rs 50,000, will be presented at a special function in a later date.
