Imphal, May 27 2021: A local court on Thursday remanded Grow Manipur Team (GMT) mastermind/founder Pukhram Maikel and three others to police custddy, while sending four others into judicial custody.

On Thursday, a team of Moirang PS produced all the eight accused people in the court of Additional Sessions Judge at Lamphel Court Complex, wherein a prayer was made for remanding all of them to police custody for seven days.

After listening to the arguments of both sides, the Court remanded Pukhram Maikel Singh (30), his wife Pukram Babita (28), sister Pukhram Renuka (28) and brother-in-law Khundrakpam BikashSingh (23) to police custody till June 2; while sending Maikel's mother Pukhram Rebati (53), his father P Jiten (61), sister-in-law Khundrakpam Jenny (22) and one GMT associate Keisham Uten to judicial custody.

It may be mentioned here that Morang PS had arrested all the 8 accused people on May 21 and they had been remanded to police custody till May 27 .
