Imphal, November 12 2021: Khoupum Battalion of IGAR (S) observed World Pneumonia Day by organising an awareness lecture on 'Prevention of Pneumonia' at Khongbung village in Noney district on Friday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the lecture was organised to spread awareness on Pneumonia - a lung infection, especially during these challenging times of COVLD-19 amongst the local populace and they were educated on various risk factors, causes, prevention and treatment for Pneumonia.

They were also informed about importance of healthy habits such as breathing exercises and nutritional diet to strengthen the immune system.

The lecture was attended by 45 locals of Khongbung and adjoining villages and culminated with distribution of face masks, hand sanitizers and medicines, it added.
