Imphal, December 20: A 24 year old man, RD Koniston Anal of Khambathel village of Chandel district was shot at and injured by some unidentified armed persons suspected to be cadres of KNA near his residential yesterday evening around 8 pm.

The injured youth was evacuated to RIMS hospital yesterday night.

He sustained a bullet at his right pelvic region that excited through his buttock.

According to the victim, about 4/5 armed youths suspected to be KNA activists entered his house and asked for his father�s whereabouts yesterday evening around 8 pm.

In the absence of his father, he was forcibly called out from his house and shot with a bullet at his pelvic region and those armed men hurriedly escaped towards the road leading to Sugunu yesterday evening.

The source said, the victim�s father was an owner of a truck, and was once threatened by the KNA for not paying the due taxes of the KNA.

Meanwhile, suspected UG who was gunned down by the state police commandos near Loumanbi Loukol in between Uchekon and Yubraj Palli yesterday morning under Singjamei police station was came to identified by the family members today.

The deceased was identified at Khuraijam Megha @ Phulo (32) of Waikhong bazar a PLA surgeon major.
