MU students to protest at MHRD, Delhi

Imphal, July 30 2018: North-East Forum for International Solidarity (NEFIS) activists along with the students of Manipur University, common students from Manipur and other states, as well as other organizations, would be holding a protest demonstration tomorrow at Union HRD Ministry (MHRD) over Manipur University (MU) crisis issue.

It should be noted that the university students, students' union, teachers and karamcharis have been agitating since last two months, demanding MU Vice-Chancellor's replacement.

They are demanding his replacement for the irregularities committed by his office.

Also, a delegation of Manipur University students has come to Delhi to meet the Union Human Resource Development Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar seeking a speedy resolution of the issue.

The crisis situation continues since the erring Vice-Chancellor still continues in his post.

The schedule of the programme is as follows:
