CCpur Medical College set to be opened in Oct

Health & Family Welfare and IPR Minister Dr S Ranjan Singh has informed that the first academic session of Churachandpur Medical College will be started from the month of October this year.
The college will have 100 MBBS seats as approved by the Medical Council of India, MCI.
Minister S Ranjan was speaking to media during an inspection visit to the college at IB Road, Chura- chandpur, today.
It is fortunate that the State has added another medical college.
This is the first medical college of the State which has been established in the hill districts of Manipur, he remarked.
The Health and Family Welfare Minister's visit to the newly constructed Medical College was also related with the arrangement being made for its inauguration within a short period of time.

The Minister said that the college is now ready for inauguration.
While interacting with the faculty members, Ranjan asserted that the young doctors and faculties need to walk extra miles.
Their dedicated and sincere service will make it possible to achieve the aim of establishing the Medical College.
It is through their better service that medical students will be attracted and enrolled in the college, he stated.
Dr Ranjan also inspected different departments and sections of the college.
He discussed about the status of the departments with the concerned authorities.
Later the Minister visited District Hospital Chura-chandpur and inspected the work progress of the Ultrasound and X-Ray rooms which are being renovated.
MLA Churachandpur LM Khaute stated that having a Medical College in Chura- chandpur district is a good sign of development for the State.
Saying that all the people of the district ought to facilitate the college, LM Khaute asserted that the future of the college lies in the sincerity and hard work of the faculties and staff.
The team led by Dr S Ranjan also included Additional Chief Secretary V Vumlunmang, DC Chura-chandpur Sharath Chandra Arroju, Director, Health Services Kh Shasheekumar Mangang, Director, Chura-chandpur Medical College, Dr Iboyaima and officials of Health Department.
