State native beaten

Forty-year-old Soijamuan Phiamphu was beaten up by a local neighbours last night in Gurgaon.
He was admitted to Neelkanth hospital with severe injury on the head.
The attackers, Sujit, 24, and Ajit, 23, barged into Phiamphu's house in Nathupur at 11pm and beat him up.
The men were armed with knives.
Sujit has been arrested but Ajit is absconding .
Phiamphu works as a driver with a private company in Gurgaon and lives with his wife and two children in a rented accommodation in Nathupur village.
The victim's family alleged that they called up the police control room at 11pm on Sunday but their call was disconnected.
Police said they received a call from Neelkanth Hospital staff at 8:15 a.m today.
He suffered injuries on his head and waist and received stitches, the police said.
According to doctors at the hospital, Phiamphu was in an inebriated state when he was rushed to the hospital.
His blood sample was given to the police for investigation.
He has been shifted from ICU to a private room.
ACP (DLF) Dalbir Singh said, "The incident occurred after a tiff between the neighbours.
The man from North- east also assaulted the duo.
We have registered a case against the two brothers at DLF City Phase 2 police station under sections 324 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) under Indian Penal Code" the ACP said.
The victim's statement has been recorded and investigations is on.
Bruce K Thangkhal, media in-charge, Northeast Support Centre (NESC) and Helpline said, "This is not the first time that such an incident has occurred.
Many people from the Northeast have been assaulted in the past.
This is the second such incident in the area within a month.
There are no CCTVs installed in the area even though several people from the Northeast stay in Nathupur and Sikandarpur villages" .
