Manipur entrepreneur bags award at House of Commons, London

Imphal, October 27 2018: Chairman of Salai Holdings Pvt Ltd Ngarengbam Samarjit bagged the prestigious "Mahatma Gandhi Samman Award" at the House of Commons, Westminster here on Thursday.

Samarjit was among the 30 achievers across the world to bag the award.

Salai is one of the top companies in the State having over 18 different establishments including four oveseas units.

Recently Salai had inked an agreement with a Czech Republic company to set up hydro projects in the North-East.

Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda also received the lifetime achievement award in the ceremony organised by the NRI Welfare Society.

Samarjit appreciated and thanked the founding members and all employees of the company for paving way to bag the award.
