Imphal, September 27 2017: Imphal East and Imphal West police, carried out cordon and house to house search operations, today, in their respective districts today .

A team of Imphal West district police, under the supervision of Imphal West SP, N Modhunimai and led by DSP (Commando) Moirangthem Amit, launched cordon and search operation at Yaiskul Police Lane and Hiruhunba Leikai, from 5 am today.

No one was detained by the police team during the operation .

Another team of Imphal West police, led by OC Imphal West Commando Inspector P Achouba, launched cordon and house to house search operation at Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak .

During the search operation, around 60 houses were verified by the police team but no one was detained .

On the other hand, Imphal East district police, under the supervision of Imphal East SP, K Kabib and command of DSP (Ops) Rk Saklemba and led by OC Imphal East Commando, BL Vaiphei, along with women police personnel, carried out search operation today morning at Hatta Mana Ingkhol.

Locals of the area, were called out from their respective houses and rents by the police using loud speakers .

The police verified around 800 individuals, including 150 females .

Five individuals who failed to produce proper identity proofs, were detained by the police team and handed over to Porompat police station for proper verification.
