Imphal, August 27 2022: A combined team of AR (Modi Battalion) and Manipur Po-lice seized 11.755 Kg of WY tablets worth approximately Rs 5 crore from Bongmol village in Tengnoupal district yesterday.

Based on specific intelligence input, a mobile vehi- cle check post near Bongmol village intercepted a white colored Bolero which was coming from Sita village towards Bongmol, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.

On thorough search of the vehicle, troops of Assam Rifles recovered suspected WY tablets in 10 yellow plastic bundles well concealed in the oil tank of the vehicle.

The drug peddler along with the seized narcotics were handed over to Machi police station for further investigation, added the statement.
