Volunteers of the JAC constituted against declaration of JCILPS former convenor Khomdram Ratan as a wanted man along with Singjamei locals took out a rally at Singjamei Wangma and surrounding areas this afternoon.
The rallyists were protesting the police action against bandh supporters at Singjamei wherein five bandh supporters were injured yesterday.
They were demanding immediate revocation of the wanted tag placed upon former JCILPS convenor Khomdram Ratan.
Despite heavy rain, the rallyists marched up to Singjamei bazar shouting slogans like 'we condemn police action', 'revoke wanted tag placed on Kh Ratan immediately', and 'long life Manipur' etc.
It may be mentioned that five protesters were injured as police dispersed bandh supporters by firing tear gas shells on Singjamei bridge during the 48-hour bandh clamped by the JAC yesterday.
