Imphal, November 23 2021:
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has categorically stated that installing a stable Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in Manipur after the 2022 Assembly election is imperative to take the developmental pace of the State forward.
The Chief Minister made the statement at the felicitation ceremony of Lilong Constituency MLA Antaj and retired IAS Kh Raghumani who joined the BJP at Nityaipat Chuthek.
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister continued that the people are aware of the positive changes brought by the saffron party in the last four years and a half in Manipur.
To take the State to greater heights, installing a stable BJP Government is indispensable, he added.
Continuing that the party workers are putting their 100 percent to ensure BJP win over seats in the election, N Biren maintained that the BJP has already 30/31 sitting MLAs and over 10 strong intending candidates so achieving the target won't be daunting.
He said that a National team of the BJP would carry out an extensive survey before giving tickets to anyone.
The ticket would be given to the candidates having the highest prospect of winning after studying the survey report, the Chief Minister said.
Saying that BJP treats everyone equally irrespective of caste, creed and religion, he urged all the party workers to contribute their share in strengthening the party.
The joining of Antas to the BJP is a testament of the party's secular nature, he maintained.
N Biren also urged all to shun indulgence in divisive politics.
BJP State unit president A Sharda Devi, BJP National spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra, Agriculture Minister O Lukhoi, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba and MLA N Indrajit also attended the programme.
