A statement issued at the occasion, explained bronchoscopy as an endoscopy procedure in which the bronchoscope (an endoscope) is inserted into the wind pipe/airways (large and small airways) of the lungs to visualise any pathology (diseases like tumour/cancer, foreign bodies, etc) to diagnose any infection like TB or bacterial and fungal infections.
