Red Shield signs off Peace Camp

The six-day long Red Shield Peace Camp organized by 39 AR under 27 Sector concluded with an impressive ceremony at sundown today in Rayburn College campus here.
Nidhi Mehta, wife of the Sector Commander Brig Surender Mehta lit the camp fire to begin the camp's closing ceremony that was attended by top army officials from the district.
Others attending the ceremony included Deputy Commissioner Jacintha Lazarus, Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh and NCC officials.
As the attending guests took turns in congratulating the participants and encouraged them to continue with their deeds, the participating NCC cadets too shared their encounters and experiences which they said would be cherished long after leaving their youthful life.

The ceremony ended up with an elegant dinner for all the participants.
Over fifty cadets drawn from all over the district received a first-hand exposure in assorted adventure activities including Para Sailing, Rock Climbing, Handling of small arms, cycle expedition during the camp.
They also received training on weapon training, map reading, use of GPS, Israeli's art of unarmed combat known as Karva Maga.
