Cultural dialogue between NE India and rest of India

North East Cultural Forum will organize a cultural dialogue between North East India and the Rest of India on Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba which falls on March 21 at 6 pm at Dussehra Ground, Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi, Delhi University Campus.
During the event, a group of artistes from North East India who have professionally specialized in various fields of performing arts specially folk dance, classical dance and martial arts will perform various cultural dances of the region.
Ras leela, Dhol Cholom, Stick dance, Blind cutting, bamboo dance , Bihu dance and Thabal Chongba are among the cultural items to be performed at the event.
M Bimol Singh, president of the North East Cultural Forum says that the cultural shows are organized with a view to present the contribution of the people of the North East India to the richness and beauty of the cultural diversity of India.
Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Youth affairs and Sports Sarbananda Sonowal, Dr Thokchom Meinya MP, Thangso Baite, MP and Rajya Sabha MP Hazi Abdul Salam are expected to attend the grand event.
It may be mentioned that the first cultural dialogue between North East India and the rest of India was organized by the Forum on March 16, 2013 in New Delhi.
Two MPs Dr Meinya and Thangso Baite graced the function as special guests.
A large number of students from different States of North East India are currently pursuing their higher education at the various colleges of Delhi University.
A number of professionals are settled there too.
