Suggestions from LPG consumer 'Ensure six refills at least'

Imphal, December 18 2015 : One consumer of Misao Gas Service who has received just three LPG refills from January this year till date has appealed fervently to the authorities concerned to provide at least six refills in a year.

One N Tomba, a consumer of Misao Gas Service told The Sangai Express that minimum requirement of LPG can be met if six refills are provided to each consumer in a year even though the Government has been promising 12 refills in a year.

Confiding that he has lost all hope of receiving the fourth refill this year, Tomba lamented that the Government's promise of 12 refills a year sounds empty.

Between October 2013 and December 4 this year, he got only eight subsidised LPG refills.

He got the eight refills on October 23, 2013; March 13, 2014; June 5, 2014; August 3, 2014; December 17, 2014; April 6, 2015; September 17, 2015; and December 4, 2015 .

He opined that six refills a year may be enough to meet minimum requirement of LPG in a year at the rate of one refill for every two months.

He also appealed to all distributors to work with sincerity.

One consumer of Sawombung Indane Service, on condition of anonymity, urged authorities concerned to ensure only four refills a year rather than promising 12 refills a year which remains too far-fetched for the vast majority of LPG consumers in Manipur.

The consumer said that only two refills have been received this year although the current year is ending very shortly.

One consumer of KK Indane Service from Yurembam Awang Leikai said that some of them got LPG refills on November 24 but no subsidy amounts entered their bank accounts.

She then appealed to the authorities concerned to examine and find out why the subsidy amounts do not reach their bank accounts.

One Biren from Thoubal Athokpam who is a consumer of Athokpam Indane Service decried that his gas book has been seized by the distributor.

He said that he has been told to open a new bank account even though he has an active bank account.
