Relief materials and financial aids extended

Imphal, May 18 2020:
Wangkhei Kendra COVID-19 Relief Committee has completed the 6th phase of distributing relief materials to the worst affected households due to COVID-19 lockdown.
S Byron, secretary of the relief committee said that distribution of relief materials from the State Government through local MLA Okram Henry with his additional assistance has completed the 6th phase.
The MLA, has given extra care to quarantine centres under his Constituency frequently visiting and looking after the needs of the inmates and arrangements taken up.

DCMC-LPA thanks
The Disaster and Consumer Management Committee, Loktak Project Area (DCMC-LPA) has appreciated all the contributions extended by different sections of the society towards the Loktak Project Community Quarantine Centre (CQC) opened at Kendriya Vidyala.
The centre which is being run under Churachandpur District Administration through Kangvai SDO Solomon L Fimate is functioning smoothly, with co-operation of the local people, it informed.
DCMC-LPA has expressed gratitude to all for the contributions especially the LPA village authorities for the financial contributions, Churachandpur Assembly MLA T Thangzalam Haokip for donating Rs 6000, L Songkhum Kom, advisor to MP Mary Kom for contributing Rs 15,000 along with other materials for the smooth functioning of the CQC, it stated.
Laira Anangshingi Marup extends help
Laira Anangshingi Marup (LAM) also extended edible items to BB Paul Mental Home, Mongshangei today on the eve of its 5th foundation day.
Speaking on the occasion, general secretary of LAM, Dharmendra Wangkhem said that the aid was extended in view of the lockdown due to COVID-19 and to mark the 5th foundation day of LAM.
Similar humanitarian work will be carried out in the future as well, he added.
LYDA appreciates
State vice-president, NEIDP, N Diten Singh has distributed drinking water to every household under 33/14 polling station, Langmeithet, Heirok AC today.
The Langmeithet Youth Development Association extended gratitude to N Diten Singh and the volunteers engaged in the distribution of drinking water while hoping for more such activities from the social worker.
Moreover, in view of rising COVID-19 positive cases in the State, LYDA has appealed to the villagers to stay indoors and to follow the physical distancing norms and other precautionary measures.
KAKCHING
COVID-19 Relief Committee Kakching Khunou has donated 90 kg of rice and eggs to the community quarantine centre opened at JNV Sandumba Achouba, today.
The edibles were handed over to the nodal officer of the centre Thingnam Rishikesh Singh.
The relief committee had also donated rice and vegetables to select underprivileged families of Lamjoa, Kakching on May 16 .
