Three killed as car skids off road

Jiribam, January 18 2022:
Three persons were killed at the spot as the car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and into a roadside pond at Jiribam's Kalinagar Part-I today.
The exact time of the accident is not known as the car was first detected by morning joggers.
The occupants of the car have been identified as Thongratabam Saratchandra Sharma alias Naoba (48), s/o (L) Th Joygopal Sharma from Kalinagar Part I Jiribam; Loutongbam Anil Singh (45), s/o (L) L lrabot Singh from Kalinagar Part III, Jiribam and Yurembam Sanjiv Singh (30), s/o Y Romeo Singh from Lamdai Khunou, Jakuradhor.

The district police have removed the corpses and the car from the pond.
The last rites of the three deceased were performed at Kalinagar after an autopsy at Jiribam district hospital.
Meanwhile, students, teaching and non-teaching staff of Borobekra Higher Secondary School condoled the untimely demise of its colleague L Anil Singh.
They also observed a two-minute silence for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Jiribam AC MLA Md Ashab Uddin condoled the demise of Y Sanjiv Singh, convenor of JCILPS Jiribam and former president of AMSU Jiribam.
The MLA shared the grief and sorrow of the family members of the victim.
