Imphal, October 16 2015 : Umanglai Kanba Apunba Lup (UKAL) will conduct its annual conference on Umang Lai and Lai Haraoba at Manipur Film Development Corporation, Palace compound on October 24 .

Lai committees, Amaiba and Amaibees, Pena artistes, delegates from other States and countries and organisations from different parts of the State would attend the conference, said a statement.

Protection and development of Umang Lai complexes without disturbing its actual structure would be deliberated at length at the conference, the statement said.

It further said that the role of the current generation in the preservation and protection of the actual structure of Lai Haraoba in a modern society would also be discussed.

Urging the general public and representatives of the Lai Committees of every locality of the State to attend the conference, UKAL also urged all the participants to come in traditional dress.
