Last rites performed for Md Allauddin Khan

Imphal, October 16 2012:
Mortal remains of former Minister Md Allauddin Khan were brought to Imphal today and put to rest at his native village at Kyamgei Muslim Awang Leikai with full State honour and religious rituals.
Md Allauddin Khan who held ministerial portfolios in the two previous SPF Governments expired yesterday at Delhi following an illness.
Among others, the funeral ceremony was attended by Chief Minister O Ibobi, MPCC president Gaikhangam and Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing.
Earlier, the mortal remains was taken to MPCC office from Imphal airport where tributes and last respects were paid to the former Minister.
A condolence service was also held there.

The funeral service was attended by MP Thangso Baite, Chief Minister O Ibobi, MPCC president Gaikhangam, Council of Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries Victor Keishing and Amin Shah, former Minister N Biren, MLA T Mangibabu and MLA Manga Vaiphei.
In addition to observing two minutes' silence in honour of the late Minister, the flag of Congress party was flown at half mast.
