Kangpokpi, December 14 2016:
With the historic declaration of Kangpokpi as a district which was once popularly known as Sadar Hills, Joint Action Committee for Sadar Hills has lifted the boycott on Congress party in the district today.
Earlier, the JAC had boycotted the Congress party owing to the alleged repeated betrayal on the part of the Government for the past many years to declare Sadar Hills, now Kangpokpi, as a full-fledged district.
However, the momentous declaration of seven new districts including Kangpokpi by Ibobi Singh led Congress Government healed anguish and pain of the people which ultimely made the JAC to withdraw the boycott, said the JAC.
