Imphal, December 13 2024:
The Joint Students' Co-ordinating Committee (JSCC) has asked all the people who hold key posts in the Education sector to take responsibility for any eventuality if the issue at Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) disrupts the upcoming HSLC examination.
JSCC is a conglomerate of MSF, KSA, SUK and another student body.
In a statement, the Committee said that the issue at BOSEM is a result of negligence on the part of key Government officials.
The JSCC appealed to the Government to resolve the issue besieging BOSEM at the time of matric examination at the earliest.
Saying that BOSEM, despite being an important institution, doesn't have a full time Secretary and Controller of Examination (both in-charge), the Committee asked how long the Government will entrust the key posts to in-charge.
It further asked why the Government is not appointing a regular Secretaiy and Controller of Examination of BOSEM even after publishing multiple advertisements.
Claiming that the in-charge Secretary and Controller of Examination of BOSEM are not qualified to hold the posts, the JSCC urged the Government to entrust the key posts to qualified officials.
