A mass rally protesting the State Cabinet's decision to include four tribal villages in the proposed Sugnu SDC circle and concept paper on anti-erosion and flood control scheme submitted by Minor Irrigation Department was taken out at Chandel district headquarters yesterday.
The rally was jointly organised by Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA), Anallon Chiefs' Association (ACA), Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) and Anal Sinnu Ruwl (ASR) .

ACA chairman Sng Lumdil said that local MLAs and MDCs must take proactive role in fighting for justice regarding the matter.
During the rally, hundreds of protester shouted slogans denouncing and demanding withdrawal of the Cabinet decision and befitting punishment against the Minor Irrigation officials for misappropriating public money.
