AR organizes tree plantation drive

Imphal, August 11 2020: Mantripukhri, Keithelmanbi and Thoubal Batallions of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organize Tree Plantation Drive in their Garrisons and various Company Operating Bases over a period of three days.

As part of the afforestation drive and with an objective to contribute in preserving and promoting a pollution-free environment, tree-plantation was carried out in Mantripukhri Battalion in the Garrison, Koirengei, Sawombung and Singjamei Company Operating Bases.

Likewise, Keithelmanbi Battalion carried out tree plantation at Keithalmanbi Garrison and all Company Operating Bases.

Similarly, Thoubal Battalion carried out tree plantation in the Garrison and all Company Operating Bases.

A total of 7827 saplings were planted in the drive which included fruit bearing trees and other saplings.
