Many extend monetary aid to injured persons

Volunteers of Youth of Manipur provided monetary assistance to Samom Nanao who was severely injured in his left eye during an ILP protest.
S Nanao, 17, s/o (L) Samom Inaocha of Uripok Huidrom Leikai has been under medical treatment at RIMS hospital.
He will be flown to Guwahati tomorrow for further treatment at Shrimanta Shankaradena Natralaya Hospital, Betole, Guwahati.
Members of Youths of Manipur today visited the injured youth at RIMS hospital.
The Youth of Manipur volunteers have been collecting donations to aid Samom Nanao in his treatment.
The members handed over their collective donations to the injured during their visit at the hospital today.
The members have also prayed for speedy recovery of the youth.
Financial assistances have also been extended to others who were injured in the ongoing movement.
Monetary aid were given to Samom Nanao of Uripok Huidrom Leikai, Elangbam Dilip of Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai and others who have been admitted to RIMS and Raj Medicity today.
People from Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai, Thangmeiband Kabrabam Leikai and Thangmeiband Polem Leikai extended financial assistance to the injured persons at the hospital.
The Yumburembi Mama Nupi Lup, Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai donated a sum of Rs 5000 to Samom Nanao and Rs 2000 to Elangbam Dilip today.
Imphal Sporting Club, Khwai Brahmapur Meira Paibee, Heirangoithong Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Leikai, Loklaoleima Women's Welfare Association, Nupee Chaokhat Lup, Porompat Women Development Association, Star Sporting Club, shopkeepers of Singjamei bazar, shopkeepers of Khwairamband temporary market and Rupmahal tank, Aribam Brajaraj Sharma of Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai, Eleventh Planners' Welfare Association, Haobam Marak Chingtham Leikai Nupee Chaokhat Lup, residents of Sega Road Takhellambam Leikai, research scholars, project fellows and some teachers of Manipur University's Chemistry Department, Menjor of KM Blooming English School and Sayang Konthoujam Leikai and Leirak Araobi Ibudhou Khaba Apunba Meira Paibee have extended monetary assistance to Medical Helpline for ILP Movement.
In a statement, the helpline said that 246 people have been injured in different agitations demanding ILPS implementation so far.
Saying that some critically injured persons are yet to undergo surgery at Shija hospital, the helpline urged the public to extend monetary aid.
