Imphal, September 10 2019: Sapam Kangleipal, chairman of KCP Maoist, was formally arrested in yet another FIR by Singjamei PS and taken into police remand till September 13.Sapam Kangleipal of Nongada Thongkhong Awang Leikai, was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West from the custody of City PS following his completion of 5 days police custody in connection with three different FIR cases registered against him at the said police station.

During the hearing, the IO, through the APP, prayed for remanding Kangleipal to judicial remand for further investigation.

In the meantime, SDPO Singjamei, submitted a prayer for formally arresting the KCP Maoist chairman in connection with an FIR case which was registered against him at the station.

The Court allowed the prayer and hence, Sapam Kangleipal was formally arrested by Singjamei police.

Soon after, Kangleipal was produced before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West along with a prayer for police custody remand and the Court allowed the prayer, thus remanding the KCP Maoist chairman to seven days in police custody remand (till September 13) .
