Medical aid to road accident victim

Timely administration of first aid by the Sehlon Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved precious life of a young lady who met with an unfortunate accident which occurred on the treacherous roads of Samtal salient on 9th September at around 9: 30 PM.
Ms Lhinghoivah, aged 22 years of Phoilen village was returning from Bokan town back to her village along with her two brothers on a Motor cycle which went out of control and skid on a sharp turn between Changjal and Tuitong.
Ms Lhinghoivah fell down into a gorge next to the road.
On receiving information about the mishap the Changjal Company Operating Base immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the lady from the gorge.
Ms Lhinghoivah was evacuated to the Company Operating Base where she was given five stitches on her fore head for the deep cut wound she had sustained during the fall.
The battalion timely action was well appreciated.
