Imphal, August 08 2024: Education Minister Th Basantakumar has stated that there would be frequent police patrolling around educational institutes.

He made this statement in response to a call attention motion raised by Th Lokeshwar on the Government's failure to keep educational institutes away from all kinds of disturbances.

Lokeshwar pointed out that teachers and students of some schools have even come out to the streets protesting against undue pressure from different quarters including monetary demands.

Condemning the disturbances caused to educational institutes by whom he called anti-social elements, Th Basantakumar said that OCs of nearby police stations would be asked to patrol around the educational institutes frequently as a short term measure of shielding the educational institutes from different types of disturbances.
