IPAK observes 38th foundation day

The Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) observed its 8th foundation day by conforming to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for COVID-19 today.
The observation was graced by IPAK president Ksh Somorendro, founder president Sapamcha Jadumani, ex-president M Babulin Khuman and International and National Awardee H Ibotombi Khuman as presidium members.
A press release issued by IPAK said that the activity report of the organisation for 2019-2021 was also read out during the function.
At the observance, M Babulin highlighted the contributions of IPAK to the society and the challenges it met from time to time while Jadumani urged the organisation to focus on safeguarding the rights of both the hills and valley people.
H Ibotombi Khuman, on the other hand, spoke about both the boon and bane the State indigenes would experience once the railways reach Imphal and trans-Asian highway becomes operational.
Ksh Somorendro, in his presidential speech, raised the necessity to form a State level association for the job card holders and take stringent actions against Gram Panchayat Members and Pradhans who collect money from job card holders.
