KSA casts assault slur on MSF

After five KSA volunteers were allegedly taken into the custody of MSF last night in connection with college students' unions election, two other KSA volunteers were physically assaulted today .
Speaking to media persons at their Sega Road, Konjeng Hazari Leikai office today, KSA vice-president Ningthoujam Chetan demanded a clarification from MSF at the earliest regarding the incident which he termed as dastardly .
He alleged that some people led by MSF vice-president Lucky Konsam and general secretary Wanglemba who were armed with lethal weapons forcibly took away five KSA volunteers last night .
The MSF volunteers armed with hockey sticks, base ball sticks and iron rods who reeked of alcohol barged into KSA office and raised an uproar, he alleged .
They also vandalised the room.
But when someone tried to intervene, they drew out knives and made all kinds of threats, Chetan alleged .
They forcibly took away five KSA volunteers including general secretary Sukham Bidyananda, Khullakpam Sanjoy, Thiyam Johnson, Moirangthem Chingkhei and Potsangbam Ranjan.
They were freed near GM Hall at around 1.30 am today, said .
Again, MSF volunteers led by Lucky and Wanglemba physically assaulted two KSA volunteers at around 11 am today when the latter were carrying out a campaign at Tangkham about KSA's general body meeting .
KSA volunteers namely; Hawaibam Chingkheinganba and Oinam James sustained injuries in the attack and they were taken to Raj Medicity.
One Thingbaijam Rahul too sustained some injuries, Chetan said.
He conveyed that written complaints have been lodged at concerned police stations regarding the two incidents.
MSF should come out with a clarification at the earliest, and Lucky and Wanglemba should come to the office of KSA in order to work out a settlement, said the KSA vice-president.
