IRA foundation scholarship presented

Imphal, February 02 2020: The first IRA foundation scholarship was distributed to beneficiaries at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound today, under the aegis of Birla Emporium Private Limited.

Birla Emporium advisor Yumnam Sharat graced the function as the chief guest while Yumnam Birla attended as the guest of honour and Birla Emporium CEO Yumnam Irabanta as the functional president.

Addressing the gathering, CEO Yumnam Irabanta said that the IRA foundation scholarship is a initiative of Birla Emporium's Charity and Philanthropy wing, which has been launched for the first time in the State.

He maintained that the concerned wing of the company aims to provide this scholarship every year.

The scholarship aims to develop human resource of the State by supporting the teachers, who are integral people in students life who are the building blocks of a society, he added.

Irabanta further stated that another target has been set to include media persons/journalists in the scholarship next year.
