CorCom claims its hand in shooting Pradhan

Imphal, September 01 2014: The Coordination Committee (CorCom) of KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK(Pro), RPF and UNLF has claimed responsibility for shooting Pradhan Sandam Ibomcha.

The CorCom notified in November 2013 that it would punish all the individuals espousing mob justice.

Accusing someone based on unconfirmed reports is an act of mob justice and such activities are not desirable at all, said a press release issued by the CorCom.

Indulging in vandalism or arson or banishment of someone because he/she helped people who wished to join revolutionary organizations are anti-revolutionary activities and accordingly CorCom banned all such acts of mob justice which lacked sense of justice, said a press release issued by the committee.

In defiance of this ban, one family was victimized and expelled from Yourabung village after confiscating all their properties including immovable assets.

Parents of the expelled family were thus pushed into a miserable state and they could not even send their children for school examinations.

Mongjam Puremba, YYC secretary (ex-KCP cadre) Ngairangbam Bikramjit alias Utam and Sandam Ibomcha (Pradhan) were the masterminds of this particular act of mob justice and the CorCom decided to punish them all.

In accordance to this decision, Sandam Ibomcha was shot on August 30 .

In case Ibomcha, Puremba and Bikramjit wish to lead a peaceful life, they should confess their wrongdoings and give in to the CorCom, it conveyed.
