GoI recognises right of Nagas to integrate : Rh Raising ; Solution based on FA soon : NSCN (IM)

Imphal, November 30 2016: Stating that the long cherished solution based on the Framework Agreement will come sooner than expected, Kilo Kiloner of the NSCN (IM) Rh Raising has asserted that the Government of India has recognised the 'legitimate right of the Nagas to integrate all Naga territories under one political umbrella' .

Speaking at an awareness campaign meeting on the peace process between the outfit and the Government of India at Makhel village today, the Kilo Kilonser said that the NSCN is strongly opposed to 'forced marriage and forced union' and added that the Nagas were divided by the colonial power for political reason.

Stating that no one moves alone, work alone or fight alone, Raising said that the GoI and the NSCN have mutually agreed to co-exist as two entities and share sovereign powers as two entities.

'Shared sovereignty and co-existence of the two entities are the meeting points of India and Nagas,' he said and added that this agreement will certainly strengthen the security, peace and progress of the two people and the region to a great extent.

The Government of India too has recognised the sovereignty of the Nagas, said the Kilo Kilonser and added that the GoI has now recognised the 'territories of the Nagas stating that Nagas are the owners of their land.

Land and people are inseparable; land and politics are inseparable; land and State are inseparable' .

The Kilo Kilonser further said that the colonial policy of divide and rule cannot stop the Nagas from being one people and one Nation and added that realising the futility of this exercise Government of India approached the NSCN for political talks and 'thus began the peace process' .

The politics of 'free Nagalim for Christ is built upon the solid foundation of our living history,' he said and added that the Government of India has now recognised the unique history of the Nagas.
