Governor leads in extending Kut greetings

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed warm greetings to the people of the State, specially the Kuki brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Kut festival .
She stated that Kut is the biggest festival among the Kuki-Chin-Mizo ethnic groups and is celebrated as a post harvest festival thanking the Gods for a bountiful harvest .
She also prayed for the festival to bring peace, unity and prosperity to the State .
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also conveyed greetings to the people of the State, specially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren, on the occasion of Kut festival .
He further prayed for the festival to strengthen the bond between the various communities of the State and for the festival to bring prosperity and harmony to the State .
Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh also conveyed warm greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Kut and prayed for the festival to spread the message of love, peace and unity in the State .
MAHUD Minister Th Shyamkumar, CAF and PD Minister Karam Shyam, Works Minister Th Biswajit and Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen also conveyed warm greetings to the people, specially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community on the occasion of Kut festival .
They further prayed for the festival to bring peace, harmony and tranquillity in the State .
On the other hand, Manipur University Vice Chancellor, Professor Adya Prasad Pandey, conveyed warm greetings to the people of Manipur, specially the Kuki brethren on the auspicious occasion of Kut festival and prayed for the festival to strengthen the bond between the diverse communities residing in the State .
General Officer Commanding (GOC) Red Shield Division and Major General Virendra Singh, VSM, IGAR (South) have extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Kut festival .
They also prayed for the festival to spread the message of love and harmony among the various communities of the State.
