Imphal, June 30 2011: Two students from D'Regina English High School, Imphal, namely, Elizabeth Devi and Jenny Maram, have won prizes in the Green Slogan/Green Poster competition organised by LIGHTS, an NGO based in New Delhi, on the occasion of Earth Day on April 22 last.

In the competition held among students of different schools in India, Elizabeth Devi won the first prize worth Rs 5000 in the Junior Green Slogan category while Jenny Maram received consolation prize worth Rs 500 .

Moreover, D'Regina English High School and Grace Academy, Imphal have also been selected among the five schools identified for their exemplary extra-events organised on the occasion of Earth Day.

It is said that the names of these schools would be forwarded to the Ministry of Earth Sciences for further action.
