AR honours newly commissioned officer

Assam Rifles organised a felicitation ceremony at Shalluk village to honour assistant commandant RNG Shungwar, a newly commissioned officer from the prestigious Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
A native of Shalluk village in Chakpikarong sub-division, assistant commandant Shungwar was recognised for his remarkable accomplishment of earning a commission through the ranks, a milestone that has brought immense pride to the region.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the event, held at COB Shalluk, was attended by his family, who were also acknowledged for their steadfast support and sacrifices in enabling his success.
The commandant of the battalion extended congratulations to the officer, commending his achievement and wishing him a bright future.
Addressing the gathering, Shalluk village Chief PY Samuel highlighted the broader impact of such recognition, stating, "Such events not only inspire the local youth but also encourage others to join the security forces of the nation" .
