Mass plantation drive conducted

CCPur, June 22 2021:
Subsidiary Training Centre, Border Security Force (STC, BSF), Churachandpur in collaboration with Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Corporation Limited (LDHCL) conducted mass plantation inside its campus today adhering strictly to COVID-19 protocol.
A press release by STC BSF, CCPur said that the drive was inaugurated by Raja Babu Singh, IPS, Inspector General in presence of HN Satya Narayana, CEO of LDHCL.
Raja Babu Singh talked about the harmful effects of global warming and about the ensuing bad effects due to unmindful tree falling and its disastrous effects in the environment.
He continued that STC BSF CCPur is doing its bit to reverse the process and to increase the green cover in the State in a bid to mitigate the effects of global warming.
Approximately around 3000 (three thousand) saplings donated by Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Corporation Limited which included saplings of Lei Hao (Champaca), bamboo, mangoes, litchi, guava,- avocado etc were planted in today's drive and also 20 T-shirts were also distributed.
