Imphal, August 02 2024: As part of the continuous efforts by Assam Rifles to uplift the local community, a pre-recruitment training for Agniveer and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) recruitment was organised for the local youth of Ukhrul and Kamjong districts at Shangshak village in Ukhrul.

In a release, PRO IGAR (South) informed that 15 aspirants from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts attended phase 1 of pre-recruitment training while in phase II 25 individuals were trained by the Shangshak battalion of Assam Rifles for a period of six weeks.

The attendees were provided with free study materials, mess and accommodation facilities and the capsule was planned and executed in such a manner that it gave equal weightage to both academic and physical training.

In all, 16 local youths trained during the capsule had registered for various competitive exams in CAPF and Indian armed forces, said the PRO in a release.
