Monsang Tribe Union new executives elected

Kakching, December 30 2021: Monsang Tribe Union, also known as Sirti Upa Ruh (SUR), an apex body of Monsang tribe organised installation and blessing service cum handing and taking over charge of its newly elected executive council for the tenure 2022-2024 at Ng Mono Monsang memorial hall, Japhou on Thursday.

The new executive council is headed by Ng Benithan as president, Sh Beshani as vice president, Sh Victor as general secretary, Ts Monichung as finance secretary and W Colleng Kelly as social and culture secretary.

Speaking at the event, Ng Benithan, expressed heart-felt gratitude to all Monsang elders, chiefs, friends and well-wishers for reposing their faith and trust on him and the new team.

He also prayed and hoped that God will guide his new team to serve and lead the Sirti Upa Ruh (Monsang Tribe Union).

During the programme, special acknowledgement and appreciation was given to Chandel ADC ex-member Sh Manglem for his generous help.

The function was attended by SUR speaker Ts Andrew, Monsang Naga Baptist Churches Association (MNBCA) executive secretary Rev Alani Shongsir and SUR outgoing president Ng Gilbert among others.
