Workshop on psychological first aid organised

To support the mental well-being, especially of students and women, the Indian Army organised a workshop on 'Psychological First Aid' across schools and villages in Imphal East district from December 26 to Sunday.
In a release, PRO Defence informed that the initiative was held to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma and equip participants with coping mechanisms to handle stress effectively.
The workshop was conducted by a distinguished psychologist Christ University, Delhi assistant professor Dr Rachana Ghosh, who led the interactive sessions focused on emotional resilience, stress management, and building positive self-esteem, it stated.
The release further mentioned that the sessions were held at Sacred Hearts School, Yairipok; Saraswati Bal Vidya Mandir, Andro and with the meira paibi activists from Andro.
The sessions provided participants with tools to create positive environments within their families and communities.
Teachers, students, and community members actively engaged in discussions, gaining valuable insights on mental health and resilience.
