Results of competitions on anti-drugs declared

Imphal, September 27 2022: The results of district level painting, essay writing and elocution competition organised District Social Welfare office, Thoubal with an aim to tackle the menace of substance abuse at Thoubal DC complex district on Tuesday have been declared.

In a notification, District Social Welfare officer A Kameshwar Singh informed that winners in the district level painting competition are Premchand Ningombam (class 6) of Dorendro Memorial English School, Heirok (class V-VIII); Sweety Wahengbam (class 10) of Ruda Academy, Thoubal winner (Cl X-XII) and Sweety Laishram, 6th semester student of GP Women's College (Bachelors and Masters) .

In the essay writing competition, Athoibi Khundrakpam (Cl VI) and Bidyachandra Huidrom (Cl X) both of KM Blooming Higher Secondary School won in Class 5-8 and Class 9-12 categories respectively, while Albi Laishram, BA 5th semester Thoubal College won in category 3 (Bachelors and Masters).

In elocution competition, class 9 student An-chana Ningthoujam of KM Blooming Higher Secondary School; and Saiyonba Waikhom, MA second year, DM College bagged the top prizes in category l(8th to 12th) and category 2 (Bachelors and Masters) respectively.

According to Kameshwar, District Social Welfare Office, Thoubal has been organising various events and activities related to Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
