Imphal, July 23 2024: The Transport Department has notified all concerned for mandatory driving test at the Institute of Driver's Training and Research Centre (IDTRC), Top Dussara, Imphal East before issuing permanent smart card driving licence.

The driving test in respect of DTO offices of Imphal East district would be conducted on Monday & Saturday, Tuesday & Friday for Imphal West, Wednesday for Bishnupur and Thursday for Thoubal, according to a notification issued by Transport director Nivedita Lairenlakpam on Tuesday.

For the remaining DTOs too, driving test must be conducted at suitable place arranged by office of the DTO concerned.

The DTOs shall provide slot for the driving test to applicants seeking licence for 2-wheeler, 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers (LMV) and all types of heavy vehicles, it added.
