AR promotes COVID-19 appropriate behaviour

Tengnoupal Battalion under the aegis of IGAR(South) promoted Covid appropriate behaviour at Khudengthabi Village today.
Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 across the country.
The unit explained the significance of social distancing, proper sanitisation, maintaining hygiene and prompt actions to be taken in case the health of an individual deteriorates, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
The event culminated with distribution of sanitizers, masks and ration to villagers.
The village chief highly appreciated the efforts made by Assam Rifles and also requested to continue such assistance in the future, added the statement.
In a similar instance, Khoupum Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 21 Sector AR and IGAR (East) organised awareness drive on COVID appropriate behaviour and to educate and empower locals in fighting the pandemic at Nungba, said another statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
During the campaign announcements were made through loudhailers in the local dialect to make people aware of the importance of COVID appropriate behaviour to include regular hand washing, wearing of face mask, social distancing and vaccination, added the statement.
Essential medicines and face masks were also distributed during the drive and all precautionary measures were followed while maintaining zero contact with the populace.
Battalion helpline number was also shared for providing any assistance during the pandemic.
