Army fetes five young officers from state

The Indian Army felicitated five young officers from the state during a special ceremony held in Bishnupur to celebrate their commissioning into the Indian Armed Forces.
The event celebrated the momentous and proud occasion for their community, region and entire state, said PRO Defence in a release.
The officers include sub lieutenants Nivash Naorem, Avinash Singh, M Sanathoi Singh, and Sumit Singh, who joined the Indian Navy, and flying officer Indhish Huidrom, commissioned into the Indian Air Force.
The PRO informed that the event was attended by the proud parents of the young officers and other family members.
Senior army officers felicitated and expressed admiration for their achievements and the support of their families, while sharing insights about the exciting and fulfilling journey that lies ahead for the newly commissioned officers.
