Churachandpur, November 12 2021: Ex-MDC Grace Zamnu enquired health condition of one Vanialchanhimi of LV Lane, who is undergoing treatment at Churachandpur district hospital after she was stabbed with a knife on her stomach by unidentified miscreants on Thursday at about 6.45 pm.

According to Grace Zamnu, Vanialchanhimi was stabbed earlier in March, 2021 too and it was the second time that she was attacked on Thursday evening by miscreants.

Expressing serious concern over perpetration of violence against women in Churachandpur, Grace Zamnu condemned the act in the strongest term and donated Rs 1000 for treatment of Vanialchanhimi.

Sources said Lalchanhimi, wife of Ginmuanthang of Henbron Veng, New Lamka went out of home for a mobile recharge Thursday evening.

When she was about to enter her gate, three unidentified persons stopped her and asked if her father engaged lawyer and warned her father of dire consequences and then stabbed her on stomach.

The miscreants disappeared soon after the attack while she fell on the ground but managed to alert family members with the help of her mobile phone after regaining consciousness.

Later; family members rushed her to district hospital, sources said.
